The inauguration ceremony for the 2024/2025 Postgraduate House Tutors of the University of Macau was held recently at the Student Activity Centre. Student Affairs Office continues to select outstanding postgraduate residents as House Tutors for the 2024/2025 academic year. These House Tutors provide essential services to the Postgraduate House, addressing the needs of residents and resolving various living issues. Additionally, Student Affairs Office has also invited 12 professors from different faculties to serve as PGH Fellows, working together to enhance the living experience of postgraduate residents and provide comprehensive support.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Paul Pang, Dean of Students, emphasized the crucial role and responsibilities of House Tutors in fostering a harmonious and safe living environment. He also shared detailed information about fraud prevention and Gender Equality Policy of the University. Subsequently, PhD student Dai Yongde from FAH, as a representative, led all the House Tutors to take a simple and solemn oath.

Furthermore, in order to help House Tutors better serve the residents and integrate into the team more quickly, training and internal team-building activities were conducted on the day of inauguration ceremony. The non-violent communication training led by Psychological Counseling Centre was greatly appreciated by everyone, enabling them to communicate more effectively to solve the various problems faced by residents. Meanwhile, a series of icebreaker games fostered understanding among team members in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, enhancing the cohesion of the House Tutor team.

The guests who attended the inauguration ceremony include: Prof. Wong Pak Kin, Dean of Graduate School; Prof. Wang Chao, Assistant Dean of FLL; Prof. Zhang Xuanjun, Assistant Dean of FHS; Prof. Jacky Hong Fok Loi, Head of the Department of Management and Marketing from FBA; Prof. Ng Kar Wei from IAPME; Prof. Chan Kin Sun from FSS; Prof. Lei Si Man from FED; Mr. Paul Pang, Dean of Students and Ms. Anita Chau, Head of SRS.
